Scheveningen Light Walk

The fifth edition of the Scheveningen Light Walk will take place on Saturday December 9th, the best walking event in the dark and cozy winter month. Thousands of sporty walkers put on their walking shoes and walk 7, 12 or 18 km through a magically lit Scheveningen. The organization expects about 8,000 participants this year.
A beautiful route has been plotted from Scheveningen. Along the way, the runners will be surprised with special luminous and musical acts from home and abroad and they can enjoy refreshments that match the time of year. At the finish, all runners are warmly welcomed with a commemorative pin and they can reminisce about their performance.
Now that the cabinet has indicated a new perspective, the organization is hopeful that the event can go safely in December. They closely follow developments and will take all necessary measures to avoid risks
The Royal Dutch Rescue Company
The Royal Dutch Rescue Society is associated with the fourth Scheveningen Light Walk. The foundation, which is mentioned in the same breath and is inextricably linked to Scheveningen, takes action many times a year for swimmers and water sports enthusiasts, but also for commercial shipping. The KNRM, largely dependent on its voluntary rescuers, is completely dependent on donors and sponsors for its survival. The boathouse of the KNRM is also part of the route this edition of the Scheveningen Light Walk. During registration you will be given the opportunity to make a voluntary donation.
