Scheveningen Light Walk
On Saturday, December 7, 2024, it's that time again: thousands of enthusiastic walkers will put on their walking shoes and participate in the largest light festival in Scheveningen. The distances for the Scheveningen Light Walk have been updated. You can choose from a walking tour of 5 KM (family walk), 10 KM and 15 KM. There are many light acts and musical acts to admire along the way. A winter treat and hot drink are also included.
Special extras for participants
Special extras for participants To complete the walking experience, each participant receives a real Scheveningen Light Walk cap with lighting, a bag and a walking map on a Scheveningen Light Walk lanyard. These extras provide a practical and festive touch to the walking tour. The walking tour is fully organized with many unique (light) acts, winter delicacies and hot drinks along the way.
Family walk
The largest light festival in Scheveningen is really for everyone! There is a Family Walk (5 KM) especially for families. This walk starts a little earlier, between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. This way, all families have enough time to complete the route. In addition, there will be plenty of entertainment and animation on the route, especially for the children. This year there is a special promotion for families who want to participate in the family walk: if at least two adults register, children up to 12 years old can walk for free (maximum 3 children). Children must register.
Finish location
Finish location to follow. Last year the finish was on the boulevard of Scheveningen near the Kurhaus. After the finish, the walkers receive their unique walking pin.
Rates, start times and entertainment
- Children from 0 to 5 years free
- Regular rate for children from 6 to 12 years €6.50
- Regular adult rate (distance) €22.00 - €29.00
- Family walk for up to three children per two adults is free
- Groups of four walkers can take advantage of a promotion by registering as a group: 4 people for the price of 3.
- From 5 people it is also possible to register as a regular group.
The first wave leaves at sunset, as darkness is important for the optimal effect of the luminous and musical acts. These varying start times ensure that everyone has enough time to cover the distance while enjoying the enchanting entertainment along the route.
- 4:15 PM and 4:30 PM: start of 15 km
- 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM: start of Family Walk (5 km)
- 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM: start of 10 km
