Marieta & Friends - A journey through the world of art and friendships
In May 2024, Marieta took leave of the board. After 4.5 years of chairing the exhibition committee and 4.5 years as chairman of Pulchri Studio, it was time to pass on the gavel.
After nine years in government, she also experienced that period as a journey; you know more or less what you are getting into but encounter all kinds of challenges during the journey.You start on a journey of which you don't actually know the destination. You have a bit of an idea when you leave and you have read up on things, but along the way things are different from what you imagined. Travelling also involves unexpected and new experiences. You discover that you keep learning and take those experiences with you on the rest of your journey. During such a journey, you have all kinds of encounters; some stay in your area for a longer period of time, others just cross your path.
The board gave Marieta the opportunity to create an exhibition. She thought it would be nice to make an exhibition with some of the artists she met during the trip.
She would like to invite you to this party.
Opening remarks will be made by Michael Toorop, her left and right hand for 9 years.
