Laureaat Cello Biënnale - Sunday-morning concert
In the autumn of 2006, the Amsterdam Cello Biennale took place for the first time. A lavish cello festival with a host of international stars and ensembles, including a competition. It immediately set the standard with international allure, making the Cello Biennale an integral part of both national and international musical life.
From the very first Biennale - some 18 years ago now - Theatre de Veste has given the stage to the Laureate, for whom winning this competition often means the start of a career. The 2024 Biennale will be held at the Muziekgebouw aan het IJ in Amsterdam from 31 October to 10 November 2024.
Afterglow with interview, cheese and cava
After the concert, a cosy afterglow will be organised. At the bar, you can order bubbles (with or without alcohol) and cheese from local cheese & delicatessen shop Verkade & Jacques, then listen to an interview following the concert.
Participation in the cheese buffet and drinks can be paid at the bar.
