Nature and Paper 自然与纸
Yuechun Lin is a Chinese artist. His work varies from landscape painting to the creative “marbling (LiuShajian)” painting. Yuechun studied Chinese painting at the National Academy of Painting of China. Beginning in 2012, Yuechun began reviving and developing an ancient art technique of China: LiuShaJian. The history of LiuShaJian can be traced back to 8th century AD, but this technique was lost afterwards. Thanks to his great effort, Yuechun made his way of reviving it. Especially, his work combines beautiful patterns with using sustainable handmade paper (raw material can be bamboo, linen, mulberry tree and other fast growing plants), glues and pigments.
Enny Kleikamp-van Leeuwen is an artist from The Hague who is mainly concerned with depicting nature. This is the common factor in their work. Because Yuechun Lin 's work is so specific , Enny Kleikamp -van Leeuwen has tried to link up with this in meaning and visual terms in this exhibition
