Piet and Fransje Killaars - The workings of nature

Simultaneously with the Bonnefantenmuseum, the Beelden aan Zee museum pays tribute to sculptor Piet Killaars on the occasion of his hundredth birthday. The museum displays twelve sculptures, which are shown in their entirety for the first time through a large donation that the museum received in 2020 from the Piet Killaars heirs. Nature and a great desire for authenticity are characteristic of Killaars' sculptures.
The well-known installation artist Fransje Killaars (Killaars' youngest daughter) was commissioned by the museum to make an installation consisting of column coverings. In the museum space, these enter into a dialogue with her father's sculptures.
