Disney's FROZEN The Musical
Disney FROZEN, is playing as a musical at the AFAS Circustheater in The Hague! Expect a spectacle of breathtaking sets and special effects.
The Story
Central to the story of Frozen is the relationship between the two sisters Elsa and Anna. Two princesses in fictional Arendelle. The inhabitants know nothing of Elsa's magical power, which allows her to freeze people and things, without her control. Elsa's fear of her magical power increases when she accidentally injures her sister. And as the years pass and Elsa's coronation as queen of Arendelle draws closer, she fears that the inhabitants will discover her magical powers and become afraid of her. When Elsa flees after an argument with Anna, she does not realise that she has unintentionally used her powers to leave Arendelle in an eternal winter. What follows is Anna's adventurous search for her sister, encounters, struggles for the kingship of Arendelle and ultimately the discovery that there is only one solution that can undo Elsa's magic: an act of true love.
The story shows the closeness of two sisters who keep searching for each other.
Musical
Frozen premiered as a musical on Broadway in 2018. A US tour followed in 2019, but both were interrupted by coronagraphs. In September 2021, the musical relaunched on West End. This was followed by Australia and Singapore (2020-2023), Japan (2021) and Hamburg (2021). In 2024, the time has finally come and the musical will finally take place in the Netherlands.
