‘Not to be Senseless’ is a stage for neurodivergent art; featuring people and pieces that experience and explore neurodivergences such as synaesthesia, savantism and autism. Organised in collaboration with Journey Through the Senses, the evening opens new perspectives by acknowledging differences in how we feel the world.
To reflect the different worlds of neurodivergences, this edition will focus on the sensory experience of smell/scent. Yolanda Uriz will help you explore the synaesthetic experience between sound, smell and communication. Cemre Kara will present an immersive olfactory participatory game, taking you on an imaginary journey through the city of Maastricht. Renske van Vroonhoven will link her neurodivergent experience of smell with the evening's artworks in a reflective talk.
