There are lots of sustainable, vegetarian and even vegan restaurants in The Hague. They serve products from local suppliers or have their own vegetable garden from which they get fresh ingredients for the dishes. Nice, fresh and sustainable! The Hague ranks second in the Netherlands with the highest number of vegetarian and vegan restaurants. Some restaurants employ people with a distance to the labor market. This way they get a chance to gain work experience. You can also find a lot sustainable beach clubs. Some of them even have the Green Key Certificate (companies that who value sustainability and take that into consideration while working). Now you can enjoy your dinner or snacks at sea even more!

Greens in the park (see banner)
Greens is a unique combination of an organic restaurant and a vegetable garden. Here you can enjoy all the goodies from the vegetable garden in the garden or in the greenhouse. Or rent a boat and enjoy sailing among the greenery in the Westbroekpark.

Ethica
Ethica restaurant is located in the Old Town of The Hague. You sit delightfully among monumental buildings at The Hague canal where they have their sustainable restaurant with large terrace and two private rooms. Enjoy culinary passion with vegetables from their own garden from the Netherlands.

Plenty
At Plenty, 100% plant-based dishes are on the menu. You sit there wonderfully in the white atmospheric ''living room''. A real hotspot in the trendy Zeeheldenkwartier. The cinnamonrolls are amazing!

FOAM
FOAM is a healthy food hotspot located in the cozy Frederikstraat. They serve lovely vegetarian and organic dishes.

Juni Café
At Juni located in a beautiful former bank, you can enjoy some delicious dishes with fresh vegetables. When the weather's good, it is possible to sit in a wonderful hidden garden in the middle of the city.

Hagedis
Just the listed building in which Lizard is located, a former school building, is worth a visit. Very nice. You eat vegetarian, organic and seasonal dishes here.

De Vegetarische Toko
The first plant based toko in The Netherlands? You'll obviously find that in The Hague! Located in the trendy Zeeheldenkwartier.

Falafel en Humus
A small but very cozy Middle-Eastern restaurant in the city center of The Hague. They serve authentic vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Vegane Glorie
'Plantbased food' served with a smile in a trendy and extraordinary interior in the Statenkwartier.

Beachclub People
Het vele gebruik van hout en natuurlijke kleuren zorgen voor een ontspannen sfeer. Aan de buitenkant van het terras geniet je van het vrije uitzicht op de Noordzee.

The Shore (see picture)
The Shore is a surfschool and meetingspot located in Scheveningen near the docks with dining area too. They create as little waste as possible and on the menu only organic products. Their pancakes are a must try!

Beachclub Indigo
The most laidback beachclub at Scheveningen by using wood, hammocks and cheerful colors. The menu is worldly, organic and healthy.

BLOW Beach House
The menu at BLOW Beach House contains all sorts of deliciousness! They try to provide ingredients as locally as possible.

Habana Beach
With a lot of vega(n) options, Habana Beach is a cute spot to relax and recharge!

Hart Beach Quick Silver Surfschool
At Hart Beach you will enjoy everything related to the surf lifestyle: from surf lessons to surf rentals, events, a surf shop as well as delicious food & drinks. And, also very nice, Hart Beach is open all year round.

Het Puntje
They offer a lot of different (mostly) vegetarian dishes and their ingredients are locally farmed. Enjoy the food while enjoying the view!

Manta Beach
Located at the beginning of het Zwarte Pad is Manta Beach, a cute sanctuary with delicious food!

Strandtent Naturel
Their menu mostly contains organic and animal friendly products. They serve some classic Dutch dishes, but also some Dutch dishes with a twist.

The Fat Mermaid
You'll find a lot of locals at this trendy beachclub. Famous for their delicious cocktails, although the whole menu is nice!

Culpepper
The pizza's from Culpepper are sooo good! Made with fresh and locally farmed ingredients. Super sustainable!

Zuiderstrand en Kijkduin

De Kwartel
Behind the dunes of Westduinpark lies beachclub De Kwartel. Here you will find a sustainable oasis of peace and nature, where you can eat organic food and drink wine.

De Staat
De Staat located at Zuiderstrand is a sanctuary for everyone who craves culinary delights in a natural environment. Here you eat delicious organic food with unobstructed views of the setting sun!

Pier 32
Pier 32 can be thought of as an extension of your living room. With a 'small library' from which you can pick up a book or put one back in yourself; nice and sustainable! And the same goes for the kitchen where mostly organic and local products are used.

Strandpaviljoen Zuid
Strandpaviljoen Zuid is the favorite hangout of The Hague locals and is located on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in The Hague: the Zuiderstrand. Just the bike ride (yes we are sustainable so we go by bike) to it gives an instant vacation feeling. Zuid loves good and tasty food and works as much as possible with natural ingredients. In the kitchen we use a lot of local products.

Beachclub Birds
The casual atmosphere and kind staff welcome everyone! Whether you want a cup of coffee or a delicious dinner, it's all equally delicious there!

La Cantina
A beach club for a lovely day out. Their interior is cozy and the menu offers a variety of dishes. La Cantina has a beautiful view of the beach.

Strandtent 14 Kijkduin
While keeping the environment in mind, Strandtent 14 is a cute beach club where you can grab a (vega(n)) bite!

Suiderstrand
Enjoy a drink or meal on the terrace from Suiderstrand. They even have a Green Key Certificate!
