In cooperation with the Musée national Picasso and the Fondation Giacometti, museum Voorlinden presents the first exhibition in the Netherlands dedicated to the work of two of the most important artists of the twentieth century, Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) and Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966).

Museum Voorlinden celebrates its 5th anniversary! To celebrate this, the museum presents, in collaboration with Musée national Picasso-Paris and Fondation Giacometti in Paris, this exhibition about the special relationship between two of the greatest artists of the twentieth century: Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) and Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966). This autumn and winter, visitors to Voorlinden will discover how these two greats inspired and challenged each other, finding their way in surrealism in the 1930s and realism after the Second World War.

The exhibition brings to light the little-known relationship between the two artists and their appreciation of each other's work at crucial moments in their careers, despite a 20-year age gap. With a chronological and thematic overview, we guide visitors through the artistic development of Picasso and Giacometti and show the surprising similarities between both groundbreaking artists.

"We are incredibly proud to be able to share these two giants of modern art with the public in the year that Voorlinden celebrates its fifth anniversary."
